Meet Aaron Clite
Rooted in St. Louis, ready to fight for it.
Working-Class Roots,
South City Is Home.
I'm Aaron Clite, and I'm asking for your vote on August 4th. I'm an attorney, a proud Democrat, and I live on Alma in Holly Hills. Growing up in a working-class family, I learned early that hard work alone doesn't always level the playing field. I ate free and reduced lunch at school and walked to the nearest McDonald's to earn enough to save for my first car, a 1989 Jeep Cherokee. Those experiences taught me that having someone in your corner who knows how to advocate can make all the difference.
As a member of the LGBTQ community, I know firsthand what it means to need someone fighting for you. Those experiences pushed me to study law and built in me a drive to stay grounded, work hard, and advocate with purpose. I never thought I'd run for office. But South City is home. It's where I want to build my future and raise a family.
I'm a first-generation attorney, and as a trial attorney I work every day fighting insurance companies and big corporations on behalf of working people, and I've won. The St. Louis region is the economic driver of our state, but the needs of everyday St. Louisans are rarely prioritized in Jefferson City. From Holly Hills to Boulevard Heights, Dutchtown to Carondelet, Princeton Heights to Mount Pleasant and Bevo Mill, our community is filled with history, pride, diversity, grit, and determination. We cherish what it means to be a St. Louisan.
But the MAGA Republicans in Jefferson City time and again use St. Louis as their punching bag. More concerned about scoring points for Trump's agenda, these extremists continually pass bad laws that threaten our rights and ask more of our city's budget and our wallets. As a courtroom attorney, I've taken on big corporations, fought and won for everyday people, and as your state rep, I won't back down to the extremists.
I believe we should be focused on bringing jobs and investment back to St. Louis, investing in educators and schools, defending women's right to make their own healthcare decisions, protecting LGBTQ rights, standing behind organized labor's right to collectively bargain, and supporting the first responders who put themselves in harm's way for our community. I expect more out of our state government, for me and for you, and I'm ready to fight for St. Louis' fair share.
As your state representative, I will work every day to make sure South City's rights and needs are protected and heard in the halls of our Capitol.
— Aaron
I'm running to make St. Louis a safer place to live and work, advocate for investment where it's needed most, and help build a more hopeful city for every resident. I call St. Louis home, and I'm ready to deliver. — Aaron Clite
