This website, clitefor81.com, is operated by Friends of Aaron Clite ("the Campaign," "we," "us"), the candidate committee supporting Aaron Clite for Missouri State Representative, District 81. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or interact with the Campaign, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information You Give Us
When you fill out a form on this site — to volunteer, request a yard sign, or sign up for updates — we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, mailing address, and anything you write in a message field.
Donations are processed by ActBlue on its own website under ActBlue's privacy policy. We receive contribution records from ActBlue, which we are required to keep and report under Missouri campaign-finance law.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies from third-party services to understand how the site is used and to make our outreach more effective:
- Google Analytics collects usage data such as the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, and general device and browser information.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel collects information about your visit so we can measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show campaign messages to people who have visited this site on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
These tools may set cookies in your browser and receive your IP address and pages viewed. They do not receive what you type into our forms.
How We Use Your Information
- To send you campaign updates, event invitations, and ways to get involved.
- To deliver yard signs and coordinate volunteer activities.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To measure and improve our outreach, including online advertising. We may use the information you provide to reach you and other likely supporters with campaign messages on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram; when we do, the data is shared with those platforms in hashed (encoded) form for matching.
- To comply with Missouri campaign-finance and election law.
What We Don't Do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with other organizations for their own marketing. Information is shared only with the service providers that make this site and our outreach work — such as our form-processing service, email tools, Google, Meta, and ActBlue — and when required by law.
Your Choices
- You can stop receiving emails from us at any time by using the unsubscribe option in any message or by emailing friends@clitefor81.com.
- You can ask us to delete the contact information you submitted by emailing the same address.
- You can control cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences directly with Meta and Google.
Data Retention & Security
We keep supporter information for the duration of the campaign cycle, and contribution records for as long as Missouri law requires. We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, but no website or service can guarantee perfect security.
Age
This site is intended for adult voters and supporters. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
